Eh, no connection drop outs yet. Did a qualifier and a race without any issues. I even won my first race today with the MX5 at Laguna Seca!

Deal with it.

Anyway, you should buy Fanatec Clubsport pedals and then you'll have a good wheel on a budget. Plus, you can help me clear out my closet space!

Anyway, it's funny how on craigslist and ebay they are going for $300-500! dollars each, when you can buy them on Logitech's site for $299. Still too much for me, heh.

Yea, Dustin should buy my old DFP that is just laying in the closet.

Yea, the areas closer to the city got more snow that we did. I think we ended up with 8" while NYC had over 12". This wasn't even the bigger storms that dumped 10" for us and 20" for the city.

If you don't mind, which local shop do you work for?

i'll try to take 1 tomorrow when its not too dark outside

Are you on any BMW forums such as bimmerforums or E46fanatics? Also, what shop/dealer do you work for?

Here is one shot of the X5 I drive. From one of the last snowstorms in NJ.

Whenever I pay attention to it, all of the connections are in the green and are very low bars. After the second lap or so, I watch my Q spike to the red until I time out. It never happens in practice mode so I can't explain it at all!

However, I did learn that you can reconnect to the race and keep racing. I've just forfeited every time I lagged out and it kept costing me rank.

I love the game but still think the server is buggy. Out of the 4 races I have done, I only completed 1 by not timing out.

I rock this too. Still not a fan of Symbian and can't wait until I get to upgrade.

Is the iRacing server always unstable like this or just when there is a big event? I just joined yesterday and it has been very laggy; is it always like this?

Anyway, I've been practicing the MX5 on Lime Rock. I've gotten down to 1:00.xxx lap times but need more time to get down into 0:59.xxx laps that are everywhere. Still great fun!

I have just signed up for iRacing because of the 1 month free trial. I do find it much harder to drive on iRacing than LFS. I also find the servers to be slow as I time out on their website often. Still, it is very addicting as I try to get my Lime Rock time down in the MX5.

Went to Greer, SC with my parents to visit the BMW Plant. I did a 2 day teen driving course at the BMW Performance Center while I was there. Here are some pictures of our X5 going down the Tail of the Dragon.

Well, I finally turned 16 and got my learner's permit. One year of driving with my parents next to me and then I'll be on my own! This is what I've been driving so far. A 2003 BMW X5 3.0i. I haven't been able to stick myself into the X6 or 325xi yet.

I race Kyosho Mini Z's from time to time, but not often enough to keep in practice. One race night is a huge learning curve for me, from going to one of the slowest qualifying glass to the top of the "average" driver. Mini Z's are also much cheaper to buy and maintain than 1/10 scale cars.

I've never heard anything bad about Bosch wipers either, but I guess it depends on which model and which car you have.

Last year, we bought a set of Bosch Icon wipers. There were 2 models (A and B) and only one would fit the curvature of our windscreen better. A year later, there are no squeaks, no streaks and no problems with our Bosch wipers.

Detail clay for both our cars.

Some polish.

I'm getting ready for a full detailing day on both our BMW's. I need to get some paint to touch-up the rock chips and scratches; I'm thinking about getting some Dr.Colorchip.

Well, there seems to be a lot of large scale racers here.

I'm really a fan of electrics and mini/micro scale. You can play year round easily and it isn't a fortune to maintain. Instead of $100 in repairs after a 60MPH crash, I would finish a race with a few big crashes and have a car with just some traded paint.

I'm trying to move into 1/10 scale nitro trucks this summer, getting my Duratrax Maximum ST running again. I remember when I was 8, the noise scared me quite a bit (only on start-up though, got used to it after a few minutes) . . . I guess I should man up by now.

I mainly race 1/28 scale electric cars, but I am hoping to expand into 1/10 scale for outdoor "bashing" during the summer.

I currently have 6 Kyosho Mini Z's, and 1 that is almost complete. These range from MR-02's, MR-015's, F1's, MA-010's, and Overlands. I run an Airtronics M8 so mulitple cars aren't a problem.

For bigger scale, I have a 1/10 Duratrax Maximum ST which needs a serious engine rebuild/replacement. I have a 1/10 Kyosho Sunstorm 600 boat which I do some lake cruising from time to time, since the lake is only a block down the road. I also have a 1/16 Kyosho Mini Inferno replica which is a work in progress, but this chassis' popularity has died so I'm having a hard time getting this to be a complete chassis too.

This summer, I'll have to work on my nitro and get it ready for some racing if at all possible. My 1/16 I will continue to work on for the 2nd summer, it's the big money factor in buying Li-Po and brushless that is limiting my progress on this car.

Not in the market right now. My current 17" notebook was a Best Buy exclusive. The Gateway P-6831FX, powerful gaming capabilities in a $1100 price tag.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 @ 1.67GHz
Memory: 3GB RAM DDR2 PC-5300 (2GB of it runs in dual channel)
Hard Drive: 250GB 5400RPM Western Digital
Graphics Card: nVidia 8800M GTS 512MB G92
Screen Size: 17" (1440x900)
Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit

If I decide to upgrade the CPU to a T8100 or a T9300, this thing will scream! Runs around 7k in 3DMark06, but people report close to ~9.5k with an upgraded processor.

Riders Motion, that's a lot of power in that small laptop! When I go to college in 3 years, I'll be looking for something similar, preferably with a strong cage like a Lenovo. I'm sick of moving this 17" gaming "laptop", but I do praise its gaming capabilities.

I know a girl that, until last year, actually thought unicorns exist. Her words were, "I knew the magical powers were fake, but I thought they lived somewhere . . . like in Montana . . . or something."

I have to agree with mrodgers on this one. I didnt know many of the cars as I've never seen many due to age or availability.

Time to explain what I have going on. Updated with a new PSU, the Corsair TX750. Nothing worth taking new pictures over. Hoping this setup lasts me 3 more years, then I'll be building another small PC for college.

I love that desktop Toki! Mind sharing where you got it from?

I also love BMW's! My parents own a 2003 BMW X5 and a 2004 BMW 325xi and we are loving every minute of them!
